Not too soon to fertilize King palms?

| The nights are about 50,the days are about 60 and getting longer. Since King palms seem to keep growing in early spring-would a mild dose of fertilizer help? Normally, fetilizing this soon might seem not a good idea...but those palms seem pretty hardy and robust. |

I did a google search and found a few links. http://www.kendallpalms.com/products/king_palm.htm Sounds like the KP grows best when not too cold or too hot. Is yours in a pot? /// Goodness! I think there is a special forum for every type of plant and style of gardening LOL Here is link to palm forum. http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/palms/ \\\ This article on palm fertilization says the growing season is Apr-Sept. - That's for FL, growing season might be diff. where you are. http://florida-palm-trees.com/palm-tree-fertilization/ |
