There is great variability in fruit quality due to climate and soils. Cold nights and warm days make for more intense color and flavor. Mandarins tend to be alternate bearing. The above was excerpt from Four Winds website. I do have one each of Owari Satsuma and Gold Nugget, and both have great flavor. Now, I am contemplating a third mandarin in this small garden. From what I read, Kishu seems to be a good choice. But I have never tasted one. What is your recommendation?
