Wowsers, gypsy! So Blue! Where do you find your unusual plants?
We just planted a Pride of Madeira on front yard slope (Home Depot) - I've always wanted one. Also planted a plumbago, a plant that reminds me of growing up in Torrance way back when. Our big cat Puffy loved to nap under my mother's shrub and often had those small blue flowers stuck in his fur.
I grow a lot of salvias and originally a lot came from Cabrillo College in Aptos, Piergrossi's in Vista (no longer there, they've moved to Hawaii), Buena Creek Gardens in San Marcos, Fullerton Arboretum's Salvia Spectacular( in the Fall), and some from Plant World on Hwy.395... There are a lot of blues in the salvia genus.....
Linda, I don't know how long you've been in Temecula, but if you take a leisurely jaunt over Ortega Hwy to Capistrano, you'll go by Tree of Life Nursery, which is native plnts if you're interested in those...and when you get to Capistrano...you can go to Plant Depot which is a yummy nursery.
Ooh, gypsy so pretty. I'll have to scoot over to Plant World and see if they have any more S. sagittata. I'd like to plant that in my bed with my Scabiosa "Fama Deep Blue". So hard to find a true blue flower outside of delphiniums. Very lovely. I'm so enjoying your photos of your garden! You and now officially the "photo queen" :-)
