Hoping for a better season. Planning on erecting a 'structure' over my tomato bed this year to maximise heat etc. Was gonna cover with clear plastic but a couple of 'experts' suggested 'shade cloth' would be preferable. That seemed counter intuitive to me as I thought the last thing they needed was more shade.

Can anyone enlighten me.
