What are the invasive purple ones called? We have tons of them! Nice cause they are always green, but they sure do multiply

Kippy, they may be Grandma's Purple Flag. I used to have some, but I got tired of dividing them every year. They sure do bloom though, don't they?

Great photos! I loved the idea of using coffee cans in the way you described to hold plants, temporarily. Every time I am done with a can of coffee, I hold on to it for a bit trying to think what I could do with it instead of tossing.

Hi Eloise! Long time no see. I worry about the coffee can thing- some are metal, and the roots might get too hot. I put the ones in metal cans in the back so their roots are shaded. Andi says it works really well- the Spuria iris I gave him slid right out, but I haven't tried to get mine out yet.

My 'Recurring Dream' opened its first bloom this week, with a bud not far behind! It is my favorite color. And my purple Dutch Iris also started blooming this week.... they bloom only 2 weeks but oh what a show they put on.
