Holiday can be found in almost any nursery here locally. Whitsell as well as Gwen, I have never seen anywhere locally.

The only places I know that might sell Whitsell would be either Laguna Hills Nursery in Laguna Hills, or Atkins Nursery in Fallbrook. Neither anywhere near you, unfortunately. However, you might contact both places to see if they know where to find Whitsell in your area of CA. Wondering why you want Whitsell? Not the best avo out there. I'm wondering if you're trying to put together a smaller A/B combo. If so, I would try to find Gwen (A) and Edranol (B). Both are very good tasting avos, and will stay fairly compact (that's a relative term with regard to an avocado tree). I would try contacting your local Calif. Rare Fruit Growers chapter to see if any of their members can point in in the best direction for Whitsell, or any other good avo cultivars. Another option is to contact Epicenter Avocados. They are located in Santa Cruz county, and they grow several of the lesser known, but excellent avo varieties that do well in cooler climates. They are very nice folks.
