Bill that could threaten gardeners

Home gardeners should take an interest in this.

I'm not saying to vote for or against, just that we should all be aware.

It's H.R. 857. It's a bill that is said to be linked to Monsanto (large agriculture company) that could outlaw home gardens (posing as a food safety bill). Here are two links:

From the 7th generation link it says that Michael Taylor former vp of public policy at Monsanto is now the new senior adviser of the FDA.

Found some more info. Scroll down. This is spring 2010.

I normally don't pay attention to stuff like this, but I don't want to be told what I can and what I cannot do on my land.

Most of what you've posted is not true including and especially the statement that it could outlaw home gardens.

    Here's the real stuff:

Some of the links you've posted and others that I've Googled on this subject are virus-infested sites.

The text of your post has appeared in many places and is going around the web. it doesn't need to.

These mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging birther teabagger people are going to bust a blood vein because we have an African-American President? Laughable.

If one were to actually read what the Organic Consumers Association has to say they would find that most of what sandybeach has written is hogwash. There is nothing in this bill, meant to require the USFDA to do the job it was meant to do back when Theodore Roosevelt signed the Pure food and Drug Act that established the FDA as part of the USDA. Much of what the FDA is supposed to do was made nearly immposible during the Reagan administration when major cutbacks in personnel kept inspections from being done.

There are many political sites available, we don't need this to become another one. Al
