Patty, it will reseed better if you don't mulch, nor plant to the gills leaving no bare earth. It is similar to a lot of self-sowing annuals, in that it seems to prefer to come up in a gravel path rather than where you would like it to reseed. I would suggest saving seed at the end of the bloom period to sow it where you want it. I always buy it as 4 inch plants from Annie's in garden installs, I never bother with seed for the type of jobs I do. My only experience with this reseeding, is seeing that it would often self sow as a weed in areas where the old potting soil at the nursery was recycled as mulch in planting beds, and it would volunteer with abandon. It has never really reseeded itself in any garden where I have planted it, but I don't do bare earth or no mulch gardening.
