pretty flowers...funny name

Salipglopsis, the stained glass flower. Will reseed and come back for several years in the pots on my deck. No complaints from me.

I think the title of this post is the perfect description, they certainly are very pretty flowers with a funny name. Painted tongue is much easier to remember, I think I might have to get some.

Yes, they're lovely. Salpiglossis are petunia relatives, so be vigilant for little green cabbage loopers, er ah, petunia loopers. . . .Salpiglossis loopers???
