**Posted this in the propagation forum and had no luck so I'm trying here**
I'll start by saying I think I did this wrong and I'm looking to be set straight on how to do this properly. Feel free to poke fun because I'm kind of embarassed posting these pics. These pitiful little green stems dont look/feel right to me but it seemed like a good idea at the time (lol).
I am using soft cuttings.
I used root hormone
The tray in the pics is sitting on a seedline heat mat
I dampened the soil initially but didnt soak it.
Questions:
1.) Did I go overboard on cutting off the foliage/spent blooms? Should I have left more on or would this work?
2.) Should I have just left the soil alone initially and let the humidity add moisture to the soil? A few days after putting this together the water had all evaporated from the tray sitting below the soil. When this happens should I have added more water to keep it humid or left it alone? Some stems are starting to get mold but others arent. I am guessing the soil is just too wet on the stems that have the white fur. The ones that dont seem to be a bit more dry.
