Go to a place where they sell horse feed. I think I got a 50 lb. sack last time. I had the larger pellets. Make sure it has no added salt. Maybe it never does, but I read here once to watch out for that. Don't know about the cotton seed meal.

I recall seeing a good price on pellets at Escondido Feed and Pet Supply on Rock Springs Rd. They may have had meal too. Also check Hawthorne Country Store,

The meal flies around a lot and has to be worked in, but the look of the scattered pellets is a bit odd. I do prefer the meal.

good stuff but very dusty. Protect your lungs by wearing a good filter mask or cartridge respirator.

Have you tried taking a look at kelp4less.com they have the alfalfa meal and cottonseed meal. Their price is very reasonable(well at least to me since i haven't bought from any locals yet , so I can't really compare prices) and plus their price includes free shipping.
