Years and years ago. Pink Marshmallow and Quasar were my two favorite hanging fuchsias. Maybe some smaller blooming ones were more floriferous but I preferred the larger flowers. Sounds like you have the perfect spot.

Pink Marshmallow was one of my favorites.......as noted, not as many flowers as some others, but the blooms are beautiful and in the light, they just seem to glow.
Have fun with it. I lost mine over the winter, and then could'nt find another to replace it.

The secret to keep a fuchsia alive is you need wood on the plant. A first year plant needs to inside over winter or in a green house. Mine which is not Pink Marshmallow, but is kind of like that but different colors, dies back to wood each year, but then comes back. Once you have wood on that plant and thick wood it can come back.

I now live in Missouri, but still enjoy reading here, as I did a lot of gardening in S. Cal.

Haven't seen it for a while. Oh I loved that plant. I had giant baskets of it in the late 80s-early 90s before fuchsia mites arrived. Now the summer heat kills all the giant light colored puff ball types. They can't survive temps above 94ish. The cooler air with humidity in it is what they want. Hope you can find one.
