I live a little over an hour north of San Francisco in Sonoma County. This morning when I went out to check my garden there were new beetle type bugs on my kale. I took a picture, looked them up on the net and found out they were Harlequin Cabbage Bugs (Murgantia histrionica). My kale was just about ready to come out so I pulled it and found a lot of aphids under the leaves too. Anyway after reading about the bugs I found that they also attack tomatoes!!! I collected all that I could find and disposed of them. Now I'll keep a close watch on my tomato, eggplant and pepper plants.
