The amount of heat is relative to the bloom cycle. When I lived on the coast in Watsonville, known for foggy summers, blooming was a problem. One year I had 4 or 5 one gallon containers, that reached the winter without a bloom. As the weather cooled I brought them into my kitchen next to a south facing sliding glass patio door. With regular water and fertilizer, they all bloomed by the middle of February. Al

Thanks for posting this! I never even knew about this flower, so I looked it up in my Sunset Western Garden book and found that it thrives here in my zone.

We are in process of planting color in our many beds, and this one will fit like a glove in many places. Our soil is well drained, and the temps are hot in summer.

We have several roses, and I like the fact that the Tuberose is a good cutting flower.
