Egg Sac Identification

Hi there - Can someone help identify this egg sac? It wasn't there yesterday but it's there this morning! It's still soft - at the base of my cherry tomato plant (in a raised garden box), wrapped around. It's a little bigger than the size of a golf ball. Thanks in advance!!

Not an egg sac.

Instead a harmless slime mold.

Yes, I know it sounds icky. But not a problem for plants or people. Will go away on its own.

If you're curious look up "dog vomit slime mold" -- sans quotes.
