Native ferns around Monterey Bay

I was driving in the vicinity of UC Santa Cruz and kept seeing ferns in the forest areas. Are these likely to be Polystichum munitum or western sword fern? For some reason I'm having a hard time finding info on the native ferns in this region.

You will have to do some searching using the link below. Just click on each species name to find out where it occurs. You could probably isolate the ferns of the area you are interested, I think. Otherwise just keep notes on what you find.

Yes, Polystichum munitum and Woodwardia fimbriata are two of the larger growing common ferns on the UCSC campus.
