It would be nice if you included the topic in your Subject of Posting. Like adding seeds to this post.

I think type of soil and temperature may play a part.

Not to worry, Protego, for your next post, then :-) A specific subject line helps the forum members know if they can jump in and help, if it's a topic they're familiar with. I think missing a day of watering would probably not harm the seedlings, as long as the didn't totally dry out. I have missed a day in the past on seedling trays or pots without issues.

I, personally, would wait until you are around to water.... lightly twice a day. I don't think it would be wise to let them dry out at all.... always damp; after all, you are in CA. ;-)
