Favorite hibiscus for Santa Clara valley?

Hi gardeners,
I'm looking for a hibiscus option for my garden. So many people in my area grow them but don't know what ones!! I'm in San Jose where thete are many homes from the thirties and there are some great old tall orange and yellow varieties- probably older types- they look like tropical hibiscus.
Any ideas?

Well,here are some in Hayward in the bay area. Doubles are a bit smaller then singles and red is the most cold tolerant of the tropica evergreens. But,I have seen beautiful yellow's with throats of orange or red. The least cold tolerant are the dwarf hybrids..and even then,I wouldnt pass on one. They are still good for out area.
