Pittosporum Wilty... Please help!

skrip

I recently came home to find my Pittosporum Eugenoides wilty looking. It's been pretty hot lately, but this has never happened to it in 5 years at this spot. It gets watered and the soil was not hard or dry. I decided to give it a good soaking a few days ago and it still looks the same. I've checked for bugs and it does not have any. I've been slowly training it to become a small tree.

What is it or what can it be? Is it just too much heat regardless of water? Should I declare it dead?

Thanks for your help!
