I just got some hose end connectors at Hdware Store, seems to work pretty good.

That's what I did too. They have the end connectors or you could double the end and wire it together to hold the water in.

My soaker hose needs to be shortened from the end that the water source attaches to - horrible grammar. 90% of the water that enters my soaker is spraying out a leak about 15 inches from the hose connector. Can one move that end?

Easy fix, get a new end at store and cut off where you need it to be and attach.
