Hello Passionate Gardeners! Need your expertise!!

Hachiya Persimmon Tree - This was a tree that i bought in the San Jose central nursery, and was about 5 feet in height with a thin stem and green leaves that i planted in spring around March.
I was told this was fruit bearing this winter, i did see some small raw persimmons very very tiny size come up and fall off a few months ago and i was excited that this was definitely going to bear fruits in Fall/winter but nothing came up after at all.All those raw bulbs that just fell off, which makes me feel the tree is not ready to bear fruits as its still a very think stemmed one.
However, recent few weeks i see that the weather has changed drastically and the tree almost looks so dull and some leaves turn yellow and some leaves with black spots.
Want to know if this is common for Hachiya persimmon or a cause of worry? Is my tree dying?
Watering the tree once every 3 days and the drainage is perfectly fine.
