elephant loose in yard (whimsical)

Red elephant head amaranth, that is. One picture with flash, one without. And yeah, all of the elephant's head are seeds....so if I don't cut this down before the seeds start separating, the elephant really will be on the loose. But all in all, this is quite a good elephant head, eh? I believe he is in "trumpeting" mode!

Awesome... tried to grow this amaranth this year but failed utterly.. amaranths for some reason give me problems. Glad to see this one does well in CA.

I tried to grow them one year as well,and while they did bloom,they didn't look anything like yours.Those are gorgeous,and i like it better without the flash.
