I got a packet of 'save the bees' annual seed mix in the spring and it was great. I don't know what a lot of the flowers are but they've got a good mix of bloom times because once they started blooming they didn't stop, in fact the bees are still visiting the remaining flowers today.

I was busy destroying bee food all day. My 360 foot Algerian ivy covered chain link fence is in bloom. We got half of it sheared back. I prefer to wait until the bees and the Yellow-rumped Warblers have had their fill of the nectar, but we're afraid we won't have time to do it for a while and the berries will start to form. The robins eat the berries, then they poop the seeds all over. So we trim before the robins come in February. One more weekend of ivy trimming this fall. Ugh.

We have a very large area of Algerian Ivy also covered with bees. Every year I cut off the bloom, but am behind this year. At this point all I can do is get up before the bees wake up in the morning and trim it off. Where were the bees when I needed them for the cherries? Al
