 o
when do bare rooted plants come into nurseries?

I am looking forward to planting new bare root trees and berries in my yard this year - especially pears, peaches and berries. I cannot recollect when they come into the nurseries. Does anyone know whether it is in December or in the spring? Thanks.

Usually they do start coming in in mid to late December, or in January.

Here in Sacramento the bareroot fruit trees and berries arrive in early January...Could be late December but I never notice them until just after New Years...Definitely not in the spring though since bareroots should preferably be planted in the winter dormancy.

Carla, today I bought some berries (bare root) at HD and they charged me sales tax.

Well, as I said in my other post, this time of year I print it out and keep it with me when shopping, because it happens more often than not!
