Help identify this strange plant that attach to the Rose

It attached to the rose branch. There's green fruit of the size of a hand. See attched picture.

I'm pretty sure it's a wild cucumber. Not sure of the actual name, but we get them here all the time! Serious weed. Get rid of it!

OR, it's a member of the nightshade family, and that is serious poison.

Either way, it's not good. It's choking your rose. Not edible!

I believe that might be Araujia sericifera, and it is considered a noxious weed in California.
