We have never found a good solution for that- everything leaks eventually. Maybe someone else has found a permanent fix and if so, I'd be glad to hear it.

Cut the piece out. Any hardware store sells the adapters to hook it back together...yes they do leak sometimes.

You can do it with a connector of some sort and two pipe rings. It is easy.

No advice on how to fixed the hose, but passing along this info from a member of our gardening group. Coyotes kept puncturing his water hoses until he set out water containers for them to drink from. Since, he has had no problems with coyotes puncturing any more hoses.

I have been filling water bowls for them. I think they put holes in this hose before I figured that out.
