transplanting knockout roses

I have three (3) knockout roses that I need to move. They have been in their current site for three (3) years. Should I cut them back before moving or leave them be and move them? I'm in zone6 and it's Nov. 9th.

RE: transplanting knockout roses

If you need to move them NOW, cut them back to canes only long enough to give you a handle and dig up a rootball that will fit into a five-gallon nursery can (get some used) or into holes that you've already dug and have waiting.

Water them in well.

If you don't NEED to move them now, wait until end of January.
