need long screening plant

Hey guys, I'm looking for something that can give me a fairly full screen for a fence line that is 6ft high by 100ft long and flat, then it turns a corner and will be another 30ft on a slope, I would perfer something that grows at least 8-10 ft high and pretty wide, I have a kid and dogs so i can't have thorns or anything toxic, I would like evergreen if possible, I want something that grows pretty fast preferably but not a necessity trimming a lot is not that big of a deal, I have been looking quite closely at green giants but on not sure
Please help

Oh and I forgot to mention I am located in Palmdale CA, I believe it is zone 8

Green Giant is likely not going to perform well in interior California. You need heat tolerant. What about Tecate Cypress.
