Dragon fruit for Oakland

Posted by sf_rhino (My Page) on

Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a dragon fruit for my sister for Christmas and wanted to get some advice on A) where to buy (in stock in any local nurseries/should I try ebay?); and B) good variety for the cool zone 9b/10a over in West Oakland.

I'd like to get something with red flesh and on the sweeter side if possible.

Thanks,
Ryan

Regans nursery in Newark had them for sale. You might call and see if they still have them. They do have a quanset greenhouse to store tropicals in winter.

Thanks, not sure if I'll have time to get out there before Christmas but I'll check them out.
