| Can anyone suggest some good trees for screening? My house sits next to an apartment, and I want to provide some screening. I know bamboo would do the job, but I also know they are invasive. Are junipers a good alternative? Where are some of the best nurseries to get them? Thank you |

| Bamboo works well if you contain it with something like Bamboo Guard. It's an enormous amount of work, though, because you have to dig 28" deep to bury the stuff. Italian cypresses will work too, if it's not too shady there. The problem is when one dies. It looks like a tooth fell out. How wide is your planting area, and how tall do you want the screen to grow? Where are you? There are great nurseries all over the state, but it's a big state. Renee |
