Importing plants from out of state is tricky. You would be better off asking a local nursery if they could order one for you from one of the growers they deal with. Then you would know the plant had been inspected and was not carrying pests or disease from another state.

Try calling California Cactus Center in Pasadena. They might have some.

There are always some at the Huntington Plant Sales, but the Cactus and Succulent Show there will have a bunch. You should have good luck at any of the SoCal Cactus and succulent shows.

Thanks! I will try the Los Angeles Cactus Society and the Cactus Center in Pasadena. I've bought at the Huntington Gardens sales before, but I think they are only twice a year and easy for me to miss.

Try California Nursery Specialties in Reseda too. They are wholesale but I think they sell retail by appt.

Thanks for that info as well, It appears that California Nursery Specialties Cacts is open to the public on Sat & Sun, which is good, since they are so far away (24 miles) from where I live. They are close to where I bought my fountain - Reseda Pottery, and that didn't take more than half an hour on the week-end.
