Will a mango tree grow in the San Fernando Valley?

I live in Studio City and was wondering if a mango tree would do well and produce sweet fruit? If so will it produce a good quantity or just a few? How much can I expect to pay for a mature tree? If I get a mature tree how long before it produces fruit? Obviously I'm totally ignorant about this so all information/advice is welcome!
Also is the San Fernando Valley zone 10a? Thank you.

Maybe, if you can offer it some frost protection especially when it is young. Read this article, it is helpful.

Here is a link that might be useful: mango cultivation in California
