Aloe Striata- new fence creates full winter shade

Hello all. My new fence went in mid Dec. one year ago, creating full shade for my Aloe Striatas until around mid Febuary. They did ok last year, so I left them.

But now they have already been in shade for a month, and we have had plenty of rain. They look fine and are beginning to form flower stalks. It seems a gamble and I am thinking they will rot if it continues to be a wet winter. Anyone have experience growing them in winter shade?

I am thinking of moving them, maybe switching them with Aloe Maculatas, which get major brown edges all summer in their full sun spot.

Thanks for your input!
