Very nice bloom, restoner. I can see why you wanted to cut it and take a picture. Our winter has been mild but tell that to the camellias. They sometimes kickoff blooms in December but nothing so far. However, the drought was so bad and the temperatures so hot that I will take whatever I cvan in the bloom department. Is your plant full of flower buds? I sometime like to take pictures of camellias that are just bursting with un-opened blooms too, especially when the bloom has grown enough where you get a peek at some colors in the buds.

The flower is lovely. Would you be willing to post a picture of the entire bush? Thinking of buying one and/or an April Dawn from Camellia Forest Nursery and am curious how a mature bush looks. I know it's vigorous, but does it also grow wide and bushy? Thanks for any help you can provide!
