Oil seed species. |
Follow-Up Postings:
| I just discovered this web territory about 3 min ago. I am always interested in Camellia species. Is your plant producing pink flowers? It is hard to get real color from a picture. Mine is bright orange red. One species may have different flower color. |
| Yes, they are red. It seems the color is hard to capture with a CCD type digital camera..it super saturates. |
| I have a hybrid, C. chekiangoleosa X Wildfire. It has bright red color but the petals are not symmetrical. This seedling was produced 8 years ago. In recent two years, I have been working on this species again and produced many seedlings. |
| There are over 200 Camellia species. An International Camellia Species Garden is located in the city of Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, China. I have the list. |
