Here's one in my garden at the moment. This particular form is very commonly planted in my area. All are in bloom now, but winter is inches away...PF

Hi Euphorbia,

Sorry don't have the cultivar's name. This is a plant growing in the yard of the house I'm renting. This particular form is quite common here and does most of its blooming in November and December. Flowers persist even now, but the early display is intense with plants shrouded in flowers. The Japanese name for this species is sazanka while C. japonica is called tsubaki. Strangley enough, this form however seems to fit nicely into a group of sazanka called kantsubaki, meaning "cold flowering tsubaki".
