Visit Bob Ehrhart's Camellia Garden

Bob has invited all camellia lovers to visit his huge garden in Walnut Creek this Saturday morning at 10:00am, rain or shine. He has more than 4000 plants with more than 400 varities - many that he has hybridized. He is the past president of the American Camellia Society and has won many awards and trophys for his blossoms. He will conduct the tour personally and you are welcome to bring plants for identification and of course your cameras. Don't forget your umbrella! The rain will make the leaves and flowers sparkle.

If you love camellias, this is a tour that you will never forget. There is no charge and you may stay as long as you wish and enjoy more camellias than you will ever see in a private garden. I am hoping that the yellow and fragrant ones will be in bloom.

You do not need reservations but we would appreciate knowing about how many people are interested - so please email me.

RE: Visit Bob Ehrhart's Camellia Garden

Thanks ForrestAL,
We might be able to persuade Bob to do this again next month if there are enough folks who would be interested. Please email me, email is on Member page. We will try to give enough lead time for you to arrange your schedule. Camellia show season is soon to start and Bob will be showing and very busy, but he will be at the big show in March and if you stop by and say hello he will be happy to talk.

I am going to get him on to this forum so he can contribute to the general conversation.

Please let us know if you would be interested in another date for a tour.

See you then,
sps
