Anyone know where I can get Valentine Day?

Hello,

I know from a previous post someone said getting Valentine Day was difficult, but the post was a few years old and I'm hoping the variety has become more commonly sold. I'd love to find a plant if anyone knows of somewhere that has it for sale. Thanks!

Valentine Day what? Roses? Tulips? Hydrangeas? These kinds of variety names are used for all sort of plants.

Sorry. I thought I was in the perennials forum!

I checked my Nuccios Nursery catalog. They have Valentines Day listed.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for looking for me. I just got my Nuccio's catalog this weekend and my head is spinning and my pocketbook is wincing!

Dear seachellelee,
_Camellia japonica_ 'Valentine's Daÿ' and _Camellia japonica_ 'Valentine's Day Variegated' are also available from Bob Wines' Nursery in Florida. Here is the contact information: Bob Wines Nursery, 2610 SE 38th Street, Ocala, FL, 34480, (352) 629-5766. Robert and Bob Wines and Laurie Williams are the proprietors. Bob Wines Nursery specializes in new and old camellia varieties. They've been in business since 1952. Bob Wines Nursery is a retail business, and they ship nationwide. I don't think they have a print catalog; however, they do have an electronic catalog which they'll send you by way of an e-mail attachment.

This is a correction of my earlier posting: The 'Valentine's Day' available from Bob Wines Nursery is a _Camellia reticulata_, not a _Camellia japonica_. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the information. Actually, I believe 'Valentine Day' is a reticulata hybrid, so Bob Wines might have the one I'm looking for. I'll have to check them out! Have a great day!
