The first is a white Camellia japonica I just bought, but can find nothing on it anywhere in books or on the www.. The second is in many books, but I'm trying to find out roughly when it starts to bloom. Can anyone help a beginner with these queries, please? :)

Marguerite, According to the AHS encyclopedia, Guilio Nuccio is a mid season bloomer. Couldn't find anything on Seagull. Hope this helps.

Babs and Jim, I just arrived on-line now after a few days and was delighted to find your kind replies. I really am a camellia beginner - Giulio Nuccio is in bloom now, so I take it this is mid-season? Seagull has well-developing buds. Many thanks for the help!
