Brown leaves on camellia

Some of my camellias have developed brown leaves (half of each leave is brown). What could be a problem? I have just planted a bunch of them last fall.
Thank you.

Hello, natalie4b. A picture would help so I am going to guess a moisture problem? Can you check by inserting a finger in the soil to a depth of 2-3 inches? See how it feels and take appropriate action.

Camellias need water during the winter too, specially if it is dry and the ground has not frozen where you are.

Then again, you may have turned off the sprinkler and forgotten to turn it on again, like I did last year so some of my Kramer's suffered but eventually recovered. By the way, I left most of the ugly leaves on the plant.

Thank you Luis,
moisture is probably the answer. I will let the leaves stay and see what happens.
