Name that camellia with no photo

I know this is a long shot but I have to try. I do not have a photo. On a trip to dig small camellias from around overgrown large and older plants Came across a couple of old planted before 1940 Single camellias this was Monday of this week. A very large plant over 12 feet high very bushy loaded with blossoms and buds. I call it red has six petals three smaller about one inch in width and three inside a bit larger and wider. The stamens are yellow with one anther, the stamen tubes are beautiful dark pink just lighter than the flower itself. Now to my knowledge it is not a sasanqua way to late for sasanquas here. So my real question is does anyone know the names of older Camellia Japonicas that are single? Not in my camellias Azalea book nor in other publications I have looked. I would really appreciate everyone's help. And yes I did dig up small plants and planted them today some in the ground some in pots depending on root system. And yes I did prune them. A firm believer in cutting back when digging shrubs.
Thanks for your help.

James,There are over 10,000 registered camellias, so it is sometimes impossible to identify one of those even with detailed information and pictures. Usually, when you see an old single flowering bloom, it is very likely that this plant was a seedling that originated in the garden and was not a registered variety. It could be a named variety, but it is not likely.

does it look anything like this in the link below that i grew from seed? i like the color and the buds are very long and pointed, opening to a tulip-like shape.
your's probably is a random seedling as mentioned above.

Here is a link that might be useful: red seedling camellia

Jeff in Al. wow to my surprise it does look 90percent like the red seedling. Is your extremely productive in flowering? This plant probably had over 1000 flowers open many that had already fallen and several thousand to go yet. It was a sight for sore eyes. I am happy to have one started and for posterity I will tag it a probable seedling, so that down the road some other camellia lover will know. I appreciate your helpful link with the photo. One of these days I am gonna have that digital camera working.
Thanks
James
