'short' camellias

I have been reading this forum with great interest. I am looking for camellias that do not grow past about four feet. I have some Shishi Gashiri, which are supposed to fit this criteria.
I am looking for complementary camellias - white and red bloomers, both sasquana and japonica, that also do not grow past about four feet or are very slow-growing and easy to keep low.

Also, I LOVE the picture of C. transnokoenis. Can anyone tell me the height and width that it normally attains?

thanks, Annie M Daffodils

Annie: No! C transnokoensis is not for you. It will reach 15 feet. However you have other option that is Camellia lapidea. The plant growth habit is arching which can be kept low( This was my rooting produced many years ago). Leaves are large, dark green with obvious serration. The flower, noticing on the picture, is a 3-4 inches beauty like an orchid. This is a "possible solution", But you know our life is not always perfect.
Nuccio's Nursries(626-794-3383) have this species.
