Is it OK to Ask For Trades Here??

I LOVE camellias, but the plant exchange portion of this website doesn't seem to have any trades and the instructions below do not address this so I wondered if it is OK to ask here?? If not, please excuse the post (and tell me gently...:-) I just got my first 3 plants a few weeks ago and have a lot to learn but I haven't seen one of these beautiful bloomers yet that I didn't like. I live in northern Arkansas. I hope they make it OK here!

RE: Is it OK to Ask For Trades Here??

Do you mean that you are looking for a trade in Camellias? The problem is that Camellias need to be potted for transport and that means that the plant is going to be hard to ship. AND, there's a very good chance that unless it is properly handled, it will not survive. They can't be shipped bare root as the plant does not like it's roots exposed to air. Someone might want to trade camellia seeds. They would be available at the end of summer and the early fall.
