| Does anyone know any online sites that sell Camellia's? I'm looking for one that'll come indoors in winter and outdoors in summer. Thanks, Toni |

| I agree, some of those websites are complicated. Luckily, you can order by simply calling; I suggest you do that. Regarding fragrance, most camellias are not fragrant. It would be nice if you could smell the ones that are fragrant thru the Internet... just to make sure that you (a) like the smell and (b) can actually smell it. Many people have difficulty with smell and that makes fragrance very subjective. For example, Kramer's Supreme is supposed to be slightly fragrant but I cannot smell it when I work outside near the plant. In other words, it smells up close but does not waft. You could try High Fragrance; I have read some people who recommend it but, I cannot comment. Kato-No-Kaori is a miniature camellia worth investigating too. Good luck, Luis |

Thanks Luis..I can call, but first I have to choose one I like..You see, I don't know enough about camellia's to do select one, therefore can't go by names. I had a beautiful, standard camellia tree for 3 yrs that I bought at a local nursery. It was a winter bloomer w/huge pink flowers..flowers were about 6" in diameter. Because my one plant room is cool, it did great and bloomed profusely. In summer it went outdoors adjacent the back door. One summer we had a really rainy summer, and the poor plant died..The grow pot had drainage holes, but it was in a second larger pot instead of a saucer. When it finally stopped raining, I went outside and 3/4ths of the outter pot was filled w/water. I did everything to save it, but it was too late. The tree was about 6' tall and not cheap. I've never seen another camellia around since, and I'm sure if I go back to the nurery I bought it, the price will be doubled what I paid. I'd like to find a nusery that sells tree-like camellia's..I don't have room for a bushy plant..You see I have over 400 plants in my house, so space is a bit limited..LOL..Toni |
