Purple Camellia

A light purple color camellia called 'Putuo Purple Light'. The best view is when the flower is about to open.

This is undoubtedly beautiful, but calling it purple illustrates the fact that color is definitely in the eye of the beholder, somewhat subjective, and sometimes just plain wishful thinking! It reminds me of something I overheard at a Hellebore nursery the other day - a lady handed one of the proprietors a blooming plant and asked "Is this one yellow?". If you have to ask...

The color shade is more at the back side petal of this flower as showing the side view. The color was showing less at the center or facing view. The person named this flower in China must have his personal perception.
