I have been searching for images of this hybrid with no luck. I thought I would see if anyone here is growing it or has pictures. I'm primarily interested in it's sun tolerence.

hi shari
there's a photo of the carolina moonmist's bloom on the link below - i saw these in person at camellia forest and they are beautiful (aren't they all) ... the moonmist is a c.oleifera x c. sasanqua. the oleifera cross enables this one's extra cold hardiness. i have quite a few sasanquas and they seem more sun tolerant than other types. i'm thinking of two sasanquas, in particular, that get direct sun till early afternoon. camellia forest's description affirms the moonmist's sun tolerance.

RE: carolina moonmist

Thanks Marsha. I am hoping this will take my almost full sun until some of my existing shrubs and trees can provide some more shade. I'm hoping to take a vacation day soon and visit Cam Forest and Niche. Maybe I'll grow it on in a pot until I can give it a little more protection. I just love the pink sasanquas.
