'moonlight bay'

my latest acquisition. a friend drove to massee lane gardens in fort valley, ga and stopped at a nearby nursery to buy plants. this is one that i asked him to look for. i first noticed it when i saw the cover of the ACS newsletter. it looked extra large in the photo with a man's hand behind it for scale.
large, open-form flowers of the softest pink color. this is the only flower left on the plant for this season and it measures a full 6" across. imagine the size of it after gibbing!

Wow, that is a nice faint pink color. And 6" is huge! Hee hee hee.

I think if it is so large, I may have to prune the flower buds if I see two growing besides each other on the same stem. I figure one bloom may block view of the other if they both open at once.

That is beautiful! Very nice light pink color.
Good luck with it.
