Camellias in the UK

My daughter lives in Newcastle, UK. She would like to grow some camellias, but don't know what type might survive there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

RE: Camellias in the UK

most all the standard japonica type camellias should do just fine there and especially japonica x saluensis hybrids like "donation".
