I think I'm in love!!!

WOW! Absolutely gorgeous!! I've heard of this one, but never seen one in a garden setting only photos in books. The books don't do it justice. I have been perusing Camellia Forest's most recent catalog trying to decide what two to order. I don't have to wonder about one of my choices anymore. How old is your plant?

I just got a few seeds to sprout from my Tama Americana. Does anyone know if they will be worth keeping? I suppose I'll know in about 4 or 5 years. LOL! I can always use them for grafting I suppose.

Very nice flowers on your plant. There is no way to know if the seedlings are worth keeping, until they grow and flower. Even then, you need to wait for another year after first flowers - Lots of times, first year's flowers are a poor representative of following years' flowers.
Is your Tama Americana a spreading plant or an upright plant? I ordered a Tama xxxx from Camellia Forest a few years ago; but apparently the birds removed the copper tag and I have forgotten it's name. I blame the birds because a number of my plants are missing their tags. I am 90% sure that it is a Tama Americana, but can't be sure until it flowers. It should have flowered this year, except no buds from the long drought and severe high temperatures of last summer. This year some of my camellias have no buds at all; while others are loaded with buds or flowers.
