Camellia placement and spacing ideas??

Here is a picture of the corner of my shaded backyard, (note the those every green has been removed).

http://www.sfu.ca/~rhui/house/backyard/DSC01037.JPG

I have bought 4 camellia's there..
Nuccio's Gem
Betty Sheffield Supreme
camellia mathotiana
camellia debutante

They are 5 gallon versions. I have already put one in the corner and another one spaced 3 feet away from it, and picked the middle of the width between the fence and the brick.

Instead of putting all 4 trees soldier/nursery style is there a better way to do this? I am just cannot visualize the look as I don't know how they will grow to become. Will I eventually have thick wall of camellia bushes?

Should I try to train one into a raised trunk tree like structure by removing all the overall structures?

What can I plant in front of the camellia's so it's not as dull looking in the next few years?

BTW, the debutante is about 150% the size of the other camellias even they are 5 Gallons. The spacing guide says to leave more space for it 6-8 ft comparing to the other ones. Do they grow faster?

Any ideas is appreciated, thanks.

Three feet is too close together. They are going to grow and they will begin to crowd each other and will get leggy. The six to eight foot spacing is better if you want specimum plants. They are healthier too if they have good air circumlation.
